Who we are
About ElectricityHelp
You just moved to Sweden, and somewhere in the pile of things to figure out sits electricity. That's what this site is for.
Why this site exists
ElectricityHelp is run by Evide Group AB, a company based in Gothenburg. We compare electricity plans across Swedish providers, but honestly, that's not really the hard part. The hard part is that most comparison sites here are written in Swedish, for people who already understand how the system works. Two invoices, elområden, anvisat avtal, none of that means anything if you arrived last month.
So we explain, then we compare
First we make the system readable. Then we look at the actual offers.
So we write in plain English instead. We explain the parts of the system Swedes take for granted, and then we compare electricity plans in Sweden, Vattenfall, Fortum, Skellefteå Kraft, Tibber, E.ON, and others, on price, contract terms, and whether a provider is actually good to deal with once you've signed up. Not just the headline discount.
A word on money, since you should know
A word on how this works financially, since you should know. Some of our links are affiliate links, and if you sign up through one, the provider might pay us a commission. You never pay more for that, the price is identical to going straight to the provider yourself.
What it doesn't do is decide our rankings. We've turned down featuring providers with better commissions but worse track records, and when a plan isn't right for someone, we say so directly rather than pretend it fits everyone.
We don't sell electricity, and nobody owns us
We don't sell electricity, and no electricity company owns us. We're independent, and we try to explain things the way we'd have wanted them explained to us, if we'd landed in a new country and had to figure out its utility system in a language still half-learned.
